They have to inventory, store and exploit all their publishing agreements. They need to monitor their traditionally published books.  They need to revert and re-publish when they can. With some effort, they can take advantage of all the new opportunities audio books, translation, ebooks, etc.

Sustainable Fandom: How Influencers Maintain and Grow Their Communities and Businesses
The rise of the "influencer" has shed light on the foundational relationship that is capitalized on when culture becomes commercial: that between the content and the audience. Because of the proximity influencers have to their audiences, they are able to build a web of monetization options around a core fanbase, rather than need a mainstream hit to succeed. This session will explore the content creation, distribution, and monetization models that influencers (especially those on YouTube who have written best-selling books) use, and how these methods, along with audience development strategies, can be used in the Science-Fiction author community.
