In nonfiction, he wrote SOARING STONES: A KITE-POWERED APPROACH TO BUILDING EGYPT'S PYRAMIDS and spent twenty-three years covering science for Time, where he reported sixty cover stories and shared a National Headliner Award. He holds a UCLA English degree and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and son.
